The ITM Istanbul 2022 fair performance has met the great expectations

 

New era for the textile machinery industry: the 2002 edition of the fair at Istanbul Tuyap Fair and Congress Center on 14-18 in the heart of Istanbul marked a fresh restart. The textile technology leaders have met again after 3 years to jointly animate this amazing international exhibition. After the mandatory break up resulting from the pandemic measures, this edition has electrified regarding the number of participants and visitors.

 

Beside the chinese exhibitors absence due to covid 19 situation in the country, the fair for the present year has registered a relevant participation from Iran and Russia. The Russian presence was remarkable due to the commercial relationship with Turkey, beside the existing trade  embargo by other countries.

 

Company owners and representatives of the textile sector from west and east  had this amazing opportunity to meet in Turkey and enjoy the premiere of the latest technology  products.

Record sales were achieved at the ITM 2022 Fair 2002, where the latest innovations in every field of textile from weaving, knitting, yar, digital printing, finishing to denim were exhibited and world launches were made. The ITM Fair, where a business volume of over 1,5 billion euros was created in 5 days, accelerated the Turkish and the world economy.

 

The profile of the professional visitors at the ITM 2022 Exhibition showed the new world order after the pandemic. The trade network has changed hands and new players have appeared on the scene. The fact that manufacturers from all over the world such as Andorra, Angola, Honduras, Perù, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Brazil, Sri Lanka and Tanzania purchased a large number of machinery and signed a strong cooperation.

 

Textape has boosted the partnership with Erteks along the latest edition, increasing sales and exports standards for the current year. The stand  of the Italian leader company in roller coverings was friendly and lively with gadgets and updated material.

 

Furthermore, as in the previous years, over 110 Italian machinery manufacturers have come together in Istanbul in cooperation with the Italian Foreign Trade and Promotion Agency (ITA) and the Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Association (ACIMIT) has presented the latest machinery introducing it into the market.

 

Outstanding with their innovative work, Italian machinery manufacturers aimed to offer efficient solutions to the increasing sustainability and digitalization needs of the Turkish market.

Turkey represents the second country where Italian textile machinery is mostly exported.

 

In 2021,269 million euros worth of textile machinery from Italy to Turkey exports took place.The commercial cooperation of Turkey and Italy in the sector dates back to ancient times. Most of the 300 Italian  manufacturers export their machines to Turkey, with a 9% increase every year, in the last 5 years. Turkey has become the largest market after China.

Satisfied exhibitors from ITM 2022 have enlarged their stands for ITM 2024 edition.

 

The fair was eagerly awaited by textile technology leaders and has also pleased the participating companies with the number of visitors and machinery sales of million euros. Many company officials have achieved a sales chart far above their expectations since the first day of the fair, deciding to enlarge their stands for the 2024 edition in Istanbul between 4-8 of June.

 

Moreover the European exhibitors evaluated new sales channels with their partners, having the chance to serve the markets in Central Asia from Turkey and meet with partners from that region. The ITM Istanbul has become the place to be in every edition, where all the latest developments will be presented for the first time. 

 

Next stop Brasil: the textile sector will meet again in August at Febratex Exhibition 

 

Febratex, the Brazilian Fair for the Textile Industry has, for more than 20 editions, the latest machinery, materials and technologies for the textile industry. The exhibition will take place in Blumenau at Parco Villa Germanica from Tuesday 22 to Friday 26 August 2022. The event has the merit of bringing together the key segments of the textile supply chain: from sewing machines, cutting machines, trimmings, labels, packaging, materials, finishing, processing, wireless, printing, industrial automation, information technologies, on frames and raw materials.

The event also promotes the technological adaptation of industry professionals through the Technology Seminar and a cultural competition for young designers, Brazil Fashion Designers.
