Our story
Textape was born in 1981 in Italy in the province of Varese from the minds of Adalberto Colombo and two other members.
In 1987, Mr. Colombo becomes the sole administrator of the company that from Varese is transferred to the industrial area of North Milan in a factory of 950 square meters immediately becoming a reference point for all the Italian textile machines in particular coating Textile machine cylinders for all applications from weaving to finishing.
The best partners of Textape are the manufacturers of Italian textile machines with which, thanks to a perfect collaboration made of tests and technical suggestions, it was possible to create the current Textape range, still in continuous renewal.
Thanks to the incredible interest aroused by Textape at the ITMA95 fair in Milan in foreign visitors, the company decides to invest a lot on export. Within three years a complete and efficient network of distributors allows Textape to export from New Zealand to Chile. In 1996 the company increased its turnover exponentially to reach 1.4 million euros and the Textape brand was registered and filed to avoid imitations.
In 1999, thanks to the continuous increase in orders, Textape expanded with the purchase of a new warehouse of 1,200 square meters located in the industrial area of Cormano, a strategic position to access all the highways of northern Italy.
The company is currently planning ISO certification and a targeted investment in electronic commerce from commercial support to the 38 Textape agent distributors worldwide.
