ITM Istanbul 2022: the path of the exhibition in the vibrant Istanbul

The ITM Istanbul 2022 is an international fair which takes place every year in Istanbul.

It has become a brand worldwide in international exhibitions.

At Hall F Booth 10° from 14 to 18 June 2022 it will be once again a great stage for brand new ideas from the textile sector, thanks to a great organization recognizing the field, not only in Turkey, but opening to a rich international scene.  

They come during every edition of this fair with great expectations that are always fulfilled by increasing customers and sales.

The concept of this annual show is to present the well known technologies of over 1000 international textile’s companies from 94 countries in yarn, knitting, weaving and dyeing, meeting the expectations of the exhibitors from all over the world, proud to show their new machines worldwide for the first time and ready and pleased to give technical support during the exhibition to the huge volume of visitors, that underlines the successful result of ITM. They feel part of an inspiring international environment,  which is growing faster every year. Using a friendly touch with each visitor, all the participating companies show new technologies in very accurate way within a few days feeling the importance of participating every year.

Textape Turkey: the story of an extraordinary collaboration with Erteks, the dealer in Turkey

 

Turkey is a country with a long history of textile manufacturing dated  back to the Ottoman Empire and is nowadays an important country in the global textile and apparel industry. In 2020, the country ranked as the fourth largest exporter of textiles worldwide, the industry is also still showing signs of growth, with the value of both textiles and clothing exports doubled since 2000. A large proportion of the textile and apparel goods leaving Turkey arrive in locations inside Europe, with Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain.

The ITM Istanbul 2022  is the celebration of 30 years of an extraordinary collaboration between Erteks and Textape that led to the establishment of Textile Turkey in 2015, the exclusive outside Italy. This is a story of technology innovation among Italy and Turkey, owing to DEMSAN, DILMENLER and DEMAS textile machines’ original conception. Textape has been part of the Turkish fabric production sector for the last 30 years.

Textile industry is one of the most important sectors in the economy of Turkey in terms of GDP, exports, and employment. It comprises 10 percent of the country’s GDP, and 20 Percent of the country’s total employment. It constitutes 40 percent of the total industrial production of the country. Turkey’s exports of finished garments amount to $8 billion a year, and makes 5 percent of the total global trade. Turkey has abundant availability of cotton as a traditional cotton growing country. This extensive growth of cotton provides a main advantage to its textile sector through uninterrupted supply of quality cotton, which is the main raw material required for textile industries.

The Turkish dream and the Italian technology

 

The Turkish fabric industry which produces almost all kinds of fabrics for apparel, home textiles, upholstery and technical applications has a well developed structure, especially in production based on cotton, wool and manmade raw materials.

Textile industry in Turkey is gaining more importance since 2020. Turkey is one of the largest textiles and clothing producing countries in the world and the 6th most significant supplier in the world and the 3rd largest supplier to the EU. Turkey’s textile industry is of great importance in the European and North American textile trade. The modern industrial facilities in Turkey demonstrate the considerable growth of the textile industry in recent years thanks to the important Turkish yarn brands, fabric manufacturers and organic cotton companies.
